Rock am Ring happens on a Formula One circuit. The Nurburgring is a real motor racing track in the Eifel hills, and the festival builds its stages and campsites across it.
It runs as a twin with Rock im Park in Nuremberg, sharing most of the lineup across the same weekend, so a name you miss at one usually plays the other.
We have not filmed inside this one. When a page here carries our own photographs it means we were there, and this page does not.
