How we use AI

We use AI tools in our work and we would rather tell you exactly how than let you guess.

What we use it for

• Finding and gathering. Pulling festival dates, venues and rules from official pages and public databases, so that a person can check them.
• Drafting. First drafts of practical guides get written with AI help, then edited by a person before anything is published.
• Sorting. Keeping the festival database tidy, and spotting when an official page has changed.

What we do not do

• We do not publish a fact because a model said it. Every fact on this site is traced to a source we opened, and the link and the date sit under it. If a model tells us the gate opens at four and we cannot find that on the festival's own page, it does not go up.
• We do not generate photographs of real places and present them as real. Photographs of a festival are ours, or from an official press pack, or licensed. If an image is ever illustrative rather than documentary, it is labelled on the page.
• We do not auto publish. Nothing appears on this site without a person reading it first.

Who is responsible

A named human, every time. The editor in chief is responsible for everything published here, and the byline on an article is the person who stands behind it. Software does not get a byline.
