UNTOLD gate times, re-entry, and the list of things they take off you

UNTOLD runs on a night schedule and the timing surprises people who have done daytime festivals. Nothing opens in the morning. In 2026 access started at 16:00 each day, and a day pass was good from 16:00 until 05:00 the following morning. So a festival day is really a festival night, and the last set finishes when the sun is coming up.

Leaving and coming back

You can, twice a day. That is the limit, and it is worth planning around. The festival sits in the middle of Cluj, so the temptation to walk back to the apartment for a shower or a proper meal is strong, and it is easy to burn both re-entries by accident before the headliner.

The bag rule is the one that catches everyone

29 by 21 by 12 centimetres. That is small. It is roughly a sheet of A4 with a bit of depth, and it is smaller than the tote bag most people would take to a festival without thinking. Measure the bag at home, not at the gate.

What stays at home

• drinks, food, bottles and sprays
• umbrellas
• lasers
• drones
• anything flammable
• tripods

Cameras are the interesting one. In 2026 only mirrorless cameras were allowed, so an ordinary DSLR was not getting in unless the person carrying it had photo accreditation.

Lockers

They exist, next to the access point. In 2026 the published prices were 150 lei for all days or 50 lei for a single day, plus a 50 lei key deposit that comes back when you return the key. Treat those as the 2026 figures. Locker pricing is one of the things that moves every single year.

What to actually pack

Wristband, ID, sunscreen, a power bank. August in Cluj is around 25 to 30 degrees in the day and drops to about 18 to 22 at night, so a light jacket for the small hours is not optional, and comfortable shoes matter more than they sound like they do when you are standing from four in the afternoon until five in the morning.
